Spring

• Vacuum removal of dirt and sludge
• Substantial water change of 25% of water volume, replaced with fresh de-chlorinated water
• Clean all filters, chambers etc. and boost with a starter bacteria
• Clean and service all pumps
• Renew and replace old UVC clarifiers
• Jet wash and clean all exposed surfaces: waterfalls, pond sides etc.
• Fertilise and feed pond plant life
• Test all water parameters

Summer

• Vacuum removal of dirt and sludge
• Substantial water change of 25% of water volume, replaced with fresh de-chlorinated water
• Jet wash and clean all exposed surfaces: water falls, pond sides etc.
• Clean and service all pumps
• Clean all filters, chambers etc. and boost with a starter bacteria
• Fertilise and feed pond plant life
• Trim, prune and deadhead plants. Tidy pond life where needed
• Test all water parameters

Autumn

• Vacuum removal of dirt and sludge
• Substantial water change of 25% of water volume, replaced with fresh de-chlorinated water
• Jet wash and clean all exposed surfaces: waterfalls, pond sides etc.
• Clean and service all pumps
• Clean all filters, chambers etc. and boost with a starter bacteria
• Cut back dying plants and tidy
• Cover pond (where possible)
• Test all water parameters

Winter

• Clear pond covers of fallen debris
• Ensure small area of pond can't freeze over with pond heater or other devices
• Precaution: treat fish where needed
